Debbie Nichols In 2005, after spending 20 years managing a small business, and seeking to own and operate her own business, Debbie purchased a Home Instead Senior Care franchise in Bristol County, MA. Home Instead Senior Care is a twenty year old company that is headquartered in Omaha, NE with over 1000 offices worldwide in 18 countries.
Debbie opened her office in Norton and business flourished. The services that Home Instead Senior Care provides are personal care (bathing, etc.), dementia care (if needed), companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation & grocery shopping, medication reminders, errands and transportation. This service is to help seniors live independently in their homes. It may be a private home, assisted living, nursing homes, and apartments, wherever the senior “calls home”. Our clients are serviced anywhere from a couple hours a week to 24 hours a day 7 days a week depending on their needs.
Within the next few years, Debbie would move to Attleboro to be closer to her client and caregiver base, and move into larger space. Today the office has 12 administrative personnel and over 150 caregivers on staff. With baby boomers now aging, the business continues to grow rapidly. Debbie manages her office and staff which is more than a full time job as we are “open” 24 hours a day. Daily families call the office seeking help for aging parents or seniors in crisis.
